It’s hot here in the mountains so as was sitting under the fan trying to cool down I looked out the window and saw what looked like a dozen hummingbirds at the feeders. I decided to try a few shots and was surprised that I got anything. It was nearing dusk and my camera is not the best so I did not expect much. At first the birds refused to cooperate, I had the door to the porch open and stood there as still as I could with my camera on a tripod. No luck so I decided to hide. I placed a bright red blanket over the door window, adjusted my nifty camera view screen so I could see my subject and waited. I am happy with the results. I cant wait to try this in the daylight.
